The power of the Christian faith might be compared with the power of imagination as discussed by George Bernard Shaw in his play, Back to Methuselah, Act IV: Napoleon is seeking advice from the Oracles.
Napoleon: "... Look at me! I seem a man like other men, because nine-tenths is common humanity. But the other tenth is a faculty for seeing things as they are that no other man possesses."
Oracle: "You mean that you have no imagination?"
Napoleon: "... Look at me! I seem a man like other men, because nine-tenths is common humanity. But the other tenth is a faculty for seeing things as they are that no other man possesses."
