A promising student, nearing the end of his formal education, suddenly found his life full of worry, anxiety, and many sleepless nights. All his efforts to free himself were in vain. Fear totally paralyzed him. Hoping to find peace and rest at night, he turned to reading the most boring books he could find. Nothing worked. Even the encouragement and love of family members fell on deaf ears. The unresolved fear and feelings of personal insecurity brought a new concept of dread -- the fear that he was going to die soon. His mind began to play tricks on him. Symptoms of fatal diseases began to appear in his life. One doctor was able to see through the smoke screen of symptoms and finally said to the young man: "Son, I know there is nothing wrong with you physically. I also know that you claim to be a Christian. You can either believe the promises of Jesus Christ and build your life upon them or I can help you make an appointment with a psychiatrist for extended therapy. I usually don't do this as a doctor, but I want you to think and pray about what you claim to believe." It was the beginning of a truly new life.
