Psychiatrists tell us that we don't have to live long before each of us is carrying around a large bag of guilt. We do not measure up to our parents' expectations of us as children, so we started filling up our bag of guilt early. We read the Ten Commandments and try to measure up, but do not, and we add more to our bag of guilt. We hear Jesus tell us that we must love our enemies, and we can't, and we fill up the guilt bag once again.
