Psychologist Ira Progoff tells of an event which took place in Egypt in the 19th century when an ancient tomb was opened. A small piece of a tree was found in the tomb, and a seed was embedded in the wood. Scientists determined that the seed was about 3,000 years old, and they planted it to see if anything would happen. They were surprised when a sprout came forth, and before long a small tree was growing from that seed. Life had remained within that seed all those years; it remained dormant just waiting for the proper conditions for it to spring forth.
