Recently a television special recounted the life of John F. Kennedy, Jr. The American public has always seemed mesmerized by John-John. Perhaps it is due to the first clear images of him as a child saluting his slain father as the nation grieved. Perhaps it is simply the result of a child's resemblance to famous parents. For whatever reason, he enjoyed a remarkable scrutiny throughout his brief life. Whether publishing his magazine, George, or simply going through the normal rhythms of life, his identity brought inescapable comparison to his parents.
