The Reverend Joe Keiller was a good, hard-working minister. He prided himself on the diligence he displayed for his calling. For seven days a week he was at the church office. He never took a day off from work "because there's so much to do," he said.

What Joe Keiller failed to see was his own need to prove his worth. The ministry is a job with few visible results. To compensate, many ministers -- like Joe -- work long, hard hours seven days a week.
