The rich and the poor...

"The rich and the poor meet together." (Proverbs 22:2)
One of the things I recall about my dad is that he used to say hello to everyone. He was professor of Music Education at the University of Minnesota and director of the concert and marching bands. It didn't matter if it was Dimitri Mitropoulos or John Smith, when Dad passed someone in the hall at Northrup Memorial Auditorium it was always "Hello." And he put his heart into it. It was Gerald R. Prescott's "Shalom."
He's retired now and lives in Florida. I bet he's still brightening up our world with his "Hellos!"
