Separation anxiety afflicts the lives of many people and with good reason because of negative childhood experiences. There are a series of television programs which feature stories about individuals who have been separated from their families through adoptions or other circumstances. Often follow-up programs will show the joyous reunions that have come about through the sharing of family histories and information. Such individuals attest to the fact that finding one's true niche means a completely different perspective on life.
