The Servant's ears are opened by God, that he may hear the words of divine revelation, and he yields patiently to whatever may happen to him in the process of his ministry. Several years ago, seminarians from the UCC-related seminaries gathered in Washington, D.C., for a seminar on economic and political injustice, and the church's responses to it. A number of them gathered to participate in the on-going demonstration against apartheid at the South African embassy.
