Some folks are impossible to convince. When I was in the first-grade Sunday school class, I had a wonderful God-fearing teacher. She was a public school teacher as well, and possessed great storytelling skill.
One Sunday she told us the story of Jesus' birth. Through her words, we could "see" the dark night and "smell" the barnyard odors. It was a simple story of a little boy born in a barn and laid in a feedbox of hay.
After she finished, she asked if we had any questions. I raised my hand and said, "I find this tough to believe. Where did you find this story?"
The audience listening to Paul in Antioch was just as tough. They questioned the source of his story and were leery of his credibility. Still, Paul stood tall and related Jesus' death and the fulfillment of the Hebrew scriptures.
I guess a new Christian might have to believe it to see it.
