Some people, like Christ serving as high priest, are ideally suited for their role. For instance, Mickey Mantle was and is a great hero. He exemplifies much to be treasured in the human condition. He knew all about perseverance from the age of four. It was then that his father began pitching a baseball to him for hitting practice every night after his father arrived home. Later he displayed more perseverance as he continued to play ball with severe knee and leg injuries. Earlier his body was the epitome of strength.
