Some teachers are instructed that when a first grader spells "cat" as "k-a-t," they must not correct the child. The teachers are told that if they inform the children that their spelling is incorrect, then it might harm the young people's self-esteem. But how much greater harm is done to those children later in life, when they feel good about themselves, yet they are functionally illiterate? Paul had no qualms about correcting the problems that he saw in the churches. -- Bowen
