Someone said recently, "People are not waiting in line to be humble." I am rather sure that is true. There are places where the idea of humility seems especially out of place. A humble person might be thought of as a slave. Who really wants to be a slave? No one would willingly become humble. Or would they? Charles did. Let me tell you about Charles. Out on Lebanon Road in the Nashville, Tennessee, area is a church that many of us have called our "home church" for the brief years we lived in that area. We lived in that area in the '70s.
