In spite of its avowed profaneness the television show Saturday Night Live does score some good points. The show is bent on destroying most of the sacred cows of its viewing public. With comic satire and clever innuendoes, public idols and household gods are destroyed one by one. Politicians who have recently blundered into the news usually are fair game for a roasting at the beginning of the show. Curiously enough, however, the show does make a profound statement about something spiritual. One time the cast got into a discussion about the difficulties with the book of Job.
