The State of Ohio has fallen in line with several other states and passed a mandatory seat belt law. Letters-to-the-editor columns in local newspapers have been full to overflowing for months with complaints and praise. In the face of it, the state government has granted an extension to drivers. The law will not actually be enforced, until some months down the road. But sooner or later the axe will fall: wear no seat belt while you drive, and you can be cited.
