The story is told of certain sailors who were near death because of thirst. Ocean water being worse than no water at all, they were like the Ancient Mariner who moaned, "Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink." When a passing boat finally came their way, they screamed for pure and satisfying water. From the other boat came the reply, "Dip your buckets over the side of your own ship and drink!" The mariners did not know they had passed into fresh waters.
