There is no more difficult assurance than that something we have toiled to create will survive our labors. For many years a man operated a restaurant in New England. Over the years he had many loyal employees, most of whom were still in his employ at the time of his retirement. As he prepared to move away, he came to believe the best gift he could give these special employees, who had become almost like family, would be the restaurant. So the day came and he announced this gift. After he had moved away, the employees sold the restaurant, split the cash, and went their separate ways!
