There is no sadder sight...

There is no sadder sight than the ashes of burned out buildings which once were homes in the blighted neighborhoods of the South Bronx or the Cass Corridor of Detroit. Occasionally, individuals try to return and bring life amidst the ashes, by rehabilitating a house or renovating a burned out apartment. Yet they are fighting an almost hopeless battle in a desolate wasteland. It takes more than a house here or a building there to turn a neighborhood around. It takes someone to care enough to make an unusual commitment which will draw others along.
