There was a college student who worked in the college dining hall, and on his way to work at 5:30 every morning he walked past the home of one of his professors. Through a window he could see the light on and the prof at his desk, morning after morning.

At night the student stayed late in the library to take advantage of evening study hours, and returning home at 10:30 or 11 o'clock he would again see the professor's desk light on. He was always pouring over his books and notes.
