Timing is everything. Jesus suggests that part of his objection to his mother's request is its timing. Corey Powell in an article in Scientific American (December 1996) reflected on the issue of timing in the activity of a NASA satellite. Astronomers have long gained insights into the universe by exploring segments of the electromagnetic spectrum invisible to the human eye. NASA's orbiting Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer focuses on the X-rays that originate in violent processes surrounding hyperdense objects, like neutron stars and black holes.
