A tourist was visiting Africa. Coming to a native village, the tourist saw a man wearing an unusual necklace. The man asked the native what the necklace was made of and the native replied, "Lion's teeth." "Oh," said the tourist, "I suppose a necklace made of lion's teeth would send the same message in your culture that a necklace made of precious stones would in mine." "I don't think so," said the native, "who'd be afraid of a jeweler?"
Jacob's dream, however, has the same message in our culture as it did in his.
