Visitors to Cape Cod have the opportunity to visit Plymouth Rock where the Pilgrims landed December 21, 1620. One can walk the decks of a replica of the Mayflower, the ship on which the Pilgrims sailed, and tour the Plimouth Plantation, a replica of the setting in which the Pilgrims made their home. The Plimouth Plantation is very primitive. Hogs enjoy the mire outside crude huts. Meager comforts are sparsely available in the rough-hewn shacks that represent what the brave settlers called home.
