When I was a kid...

When I was a kid there was something called a service station. That's right -- service. In the days an attendant filled a vehicle's gas tank, washed the car's windows, and checked the engine. A common question we'd hear was, "Check your oil?" Without a sufficient reserve of oil in the crankcase, the engine was a goner. I know that for a fact because I had to have an engine rebuilt because I didn't put oil in it.
