When members of an orchestra...
Illustration
When members of an orchestra assemble, each brings a different instrument to play. One has a tiny piccolo, another a huge tuba, another a violin. These instruments produce vastly different sounds, but each has an essential role in achieving a good result. Each player must be proficient, must play the right notes, and follow carefully the wishes of the director. Their labors may seem unequal. The violinist fiddles furiously through the whole piece, while the cymbals crash only twice. The soft woodwinds are barely heard, while the brasses blare forth.
