When Nathaniel was three years old his parents took him to see an Easter pageant. The church that was presenting the program made it a major production, involving a cast of more than 130 people. Nathaniel was really taken by it all. The Palm Sunday festivities really caught his attention as the first century merchants wove in and out among the audience trying to sell their baked breads, fresh fish, baskets and various other goods. When these same merchants started waving their palm leaves and singing, "Hosanna!" as Jesus made his entrance, they had Nathaniel in the palm of their hand.
