When the persecution of Christians...

When the persecution of Christians was at its peak in Rome, there were many people who
viewed it with disbelief -- not because it was so awful, but because of the Christians'
attitudes with their martyrdom. The historians wrote that the thing they noticed most
about them was the way they loved one another. Others heard them sing hymns. There
was no running, no crying in despair, but instead almost the attitude of a march to
victory.
