When witnesses are called to...

When witnesses are called to testify in a trial they are told to tell "the truth, the whole
truth and nothing but the truth." Witnesses are not asked for their opinions or their
feelings. The court wants to know what they have seen. One of the reasons that people
heard the apostle Paul was because he told his own story of how the gospel had come to
him and taken root in his heart. He told of his early embarrassing days when he
persecuted Christians. He told of his education and how zealously he guarded the
traditions of his elders.
