The world cannot see "child of God" on the face of a believer. The world did not see "Christ of God" on Jesus' face, or it would have treated him differently. The world does not immediately recognize such marks.

In fact, even the disciples did not see "God's Christ" in Jesus. They saw the kind of Messiah they felt was needed to make things right in the world for Israel. Similarly, the world does not see "child of God" in people. Instead, it sees what it needs to make things go as the world wishes.
