Young runaway girls often find themselves desperate for food and shelter -- and for love. At fourteen or fifteen, they are not old enough to hold a job at a fast food restaurant. If they are in a large city, the pimps recognize their youthful and attractive bodies as potential sources of income. These young girls, desperate for anything that resembles safety, for anything that gets them off the streets, are willing to do whatever the pimp asks.
