Bless The Lord With Songs Unceasing
Worship
Lectionary Hymns for Cycle B
New Hymns for the Church Year Calendar with Old Familiar Tunes
Object:
1. Bless the Lord with songs unceasing,
Bless God for great love and care.
O my soul, with praise increasing,
Celebrate with joyous flair.
In the praise of God, together,
All as one, a chorus raise,
To our God, in fullest measure,
Who deserves our highest praise.
2. Thank you, God, for every blessing,
Ruling o’er the church in love;
In your gracious arms, caressing
Those who seek your courts above.
In forgiveness, and with healing,
All your works of mercy crown;
Wondrous ways, ever revealing:
Great Redeemer of renown.
3. Bless the Lord, full of compassion,
Satisfying all with good;
Giving help of every fashion,
In the way of parenthood.
All creation, in thanksgiving,
Shares in praising God above.
As he gives us strength for living,
We extol his steadfast love.
Epiphany 8/Ordinary Time 8
Based on Psalm 103:1-13, 22
May be sung to NETTLETON, 87.87 D
