You can bank on it! A bank that does well will often establish
branch offices in the suburbs. In Cincinnati a bank stands on the
corner of Vine Street. It has branches in many parts of the Queen
City, but the chief office remains downtown at Vine.
Jesus, in the last of the "I am" sayings recorded in John's
gospel, says, "I am the vine, you are the branches." The Lord and
his men were walking on their way from the upper room where the
last supper had just been served. They were on their way to the
