God created the earth and the earth was like a beautiful garden full of all of the good things needed to sustain and enrich life. Then God put Adam, our representative in the story, into the garden to "till it and keep it" (Genesis 2:15). That sums up our God--given role in relationship to the world. But how should we keep the earth? How should we manage it? In this day of environmental concerns and environmental crises, that has become a very important question.
