Call To Worship (Psalm 118:14-24)
One: The LORD is my strength and my might; he has become my salvation.
All: There are glad songs of victory in the tents of the righteous: "The right hand of the LORD does valiantly;
One: the right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly."
All: I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the LORD.
One: The LORD has punished me severely, but he did not give me over to death.
All: Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the LORD.
One: This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter through it.
All: I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation.
One: The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.
All: This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Prayer
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. For death is swallowed up in Christ's victory. We have followed the Lord through the open door and found our salvation on the other side. This is the day of our hope and our redemption. Bless us as we gather in grateful praise! Hosanna in the highest! Amen.
Unison Scriptural Response
We have seen the Lord. The Risen Lord is part of our lives now. Let us resolve to spread the glorious news that He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
Congregational Benediction (Isaiah 25:6-9)
One: On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wines, of rich food filled with marrow, of well-aged wines strained clear.
All: And he will destroy on this mountain the shroud that is cast over all peoples, the sheet that is spread over all nations; he will swallow up death forever.
One: Then the Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from all faces, and the disgrace of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken.
All: It will be said on that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, so that he might save us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
