When we ordain elders and deacons and ministers in the Presbyterian church we ask a number of questions. Many of you have answered them as you have accepted leadership in this or another congregation.
One of those questions reads:
Do you accept the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be, by the Holy Spirit, the unique and authoritative witness to Jesus Christ in the Church universal, and God's Word to you?1
One of those questions reads:
