Call To Worship
Leader: Rejoice, O people of God, for the Lord is with us in this holy place!
People: Our lives belong to the risen Lord, committed by faith in our baptism.
Leader: Let us always remember our baptism by being ever true to our commitment.
People: And let the light of Christ shine through our lives for all to see.
Leader: Rejoice then, O people of God, and sing praises before the Christ.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
O God, You place no barrier preventing us from coming to You if we will only believe. In Baptism, our commitment draws us together with You and with each other, and we praise You, Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, on too many occasions we have forgotten the promises and commitment we made in our hearts to be Your faithful followers. Too often, O God, we have seen Your hurting children, yet we did not make time to help them. We have made important decisions about what seems good to us without regard for the needs of others. Forgive us, O Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"Child Of Blessing, Child Of Promise"
"We Know That Christ Is Raised"
"I Surrender All"
Fifth Sunday Of Easter
Second Lesson: 1 John 4:7-21

Call To Worship
Leader: Let us join in song and celebration for God's redeeming love!
People: The Lord is merciful and loving and calls us to be the same.
Leader: Our lives can make a wonderful difference if we love one another.
People: For the world longs to witness the Gospel, not just to hear about it.
Leader: Then let us live our lives with joy, for God has surely blessed us.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
O God, we are so grateful You opened the door for us to be a part of Your kingdom and gave us the ministry of sharing Your love in a hurting world. Teach us to share Your love well, Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, so often we have allowed the temptations of the world around us to lead us astray and keep us from being the loving people You created Your church to be. Forgive us, Lord, and once again revive Your Spirit in us that we might shine as a guiding beacon to point all who are seeking to Christ. Give us the strength to make a difference, Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"Let There Be Peace On Earth"

O gracious and loving God, You alone are good and You alone are the source of all goodness in creation. Help us to be vines to Your branches that through us You might bless the world. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, we are slow to admit that too often we have been unfruitful branches of Your Vine. Too often we have forgotten the love and mercy we receive from You. In Christ we pray. Amen.
