A woman had prayed for her uncommitted husband and believed that God would some day reach the man's heart. But he died suddenly in a car accident, and the woman was so upset that she began to doubt God.
Later she learned that her husband had picked up a hitchhiker as he traveled along. In the conversation in that car, the hitchhiker succeeded in helping the husband commit his heart to Christ. Traveling on, the hitchhiker came to his destination and was dropped off, while the husband drove on and died in the car accident yet that day.
When the announcement was made on radio and television that this prominent citizen had died, the hitchhiker, after much time and effort, was able to contact the wife and inform her of that conversation, much to her surprise and joy. A coincidence? Hardly.
Don't ever doubt God's providence.
