Not long ago a woman told me of her experiences when she and her husband received an invitation to dine with the President at the White House. They cancelled all other engagements, went to Washington at their own expense, and booked in at one of the better hotels. She continued her plans for the Presidential dinner by having her hair done just right. She bought an expensive new dress, bathed for a long time, applied the best perfume, adorned herself with her finest jewelry, and finally, after days of preparation, actually went to the dinner in style.
