My parents sacrificed so that my sister and I could go to college. At that time, I mistakenly took it for granted that every college student had a gasoline credit card. I figured everyone had been given a reliable, used car to get around. I thought every college student's "job" was "school." I couldn't imagine an outside job beside all that studying and reading.
Boy, was my thinking ever impaired! Was I ever ignorant! I was so wrong! I must have had my head in the sand for seventeen years. My eyes were opened to reality in college.
