Litanies, Prayers And Dialogues For Lent and Easter
M: The Lord be with you.
P: And also with you.
M: Let us pray;
Eternal God, in life, in death, in life beyond death you alone
are God. You called us into being with but a word from the very
dust of creation and it is into that dust that we return upon our
death. We ask only that in the gift of these ashes your eternal
Spirit might rest upon us in our finite humanity and remind us of
our continual need for your loving grace, that in repentance we
might find forgiveness, in living, faith, and in life, your
everlasting love and abundant life. We pray in the precious name
of Jesus, Amen.
