While on a tour of Westminster Abbey in London, England, I turned a corner of a sun-lighted hallway, only to be confronted by a life-sized painting of a man standing before and knocking on a door.
I soon realized it was an original copy of the famous painting The Light of the World by Holman Hunt. Someone had added on a separate line at the bottom of the picture the quotation of Revelation 3:20 -- "Behold, I stand at the door and knock."
Only eight original copies of this painting were produced by Mr. Hunt. None was placed more appropriately in any location than the one I saw that day in Westminster Abbey. As the sunlight poured in on that painting I agreed that Jesus is the Light of the World.
