Second Lesson Sermons For Sundays After Pentecost
In 1971 Evel Knievel attempted to jump across Snake River on a rocket--powered motorcycle. That episode ended with him pulling the parachute and floating into the canyon. It was only one of his many daredevil events, which always put his life on the line. Over and over again he would tempt fate and death. He would take his motorcycle to extremely high speeds and attempt to jump buses, fountains, and anything else that could be jumped. His purpose was to put himself in the greatest risk, in order to make the most money. He has been a person who has lived on the edge most of his life.
