The church is the only institution on earth that will let you in free, and then trust your honor to pay.
Movie theaters won't do it; ball parks certainly won't do it; and we never heard of a store that would let you help yourself and fill your basket, and then take a collection as you pass outside.
You wouldn't ride a train or a jet plane that way; they must be assured of their pay.
The church is entitled to such assurance also.
