It is a great sight to see for the first time the faces of four presidents of our country carved into the side of Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The faces include George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and Theodore Roosevelt.
The features are so vast that those workmen doing the carving would often be uncertain what to do next. Then they would go to the office building at the foot of the mountain to see, laid out in detail, the original design by the architect, Mr. Gustave Borglum.
