Location: Matthew 8:20
Verse: ... The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man hath not [no place] where to lay his head.
A speaker came to the college campus and was going to speak on "Was Jesus a homeless person?" This was an intriguing title. Jesus did make some statements with regard to having no home of his own and having no place to lay or rest his head.
When Jesus was on a preaching mission, one of the religious scribes came up to him. A scribe was like a lawyer who made a systematic study of the religious law and its exposition. This scribe told Jesus that he would follow him no matter where he went. Then Jesus spoke the words you see above.
Following Jesus is not always comfortable or the easy thing to do. However, the rewards of being Christ's disciple are extremely valuable. They last for eternity.
