Tormenting Questions In A Bizarre World
There is a witticism that goes, "Why do we buy things we don't want, just to impress people we can't stand the sight of?" Disturbingly, I fear, there is some truth in this witticism, isn't there, Leon? The urge to impress others with our importance motivates us into what is really irrational behavior. In fact, the behavior is often humorous when one views it from an outside perspective! How many of us at times have dragged home grotesque purchases because we at first thought they would be impressive objects to have around our homes?
