1. Oh, to God alone be glory, for his tender, loving care.
Earth unfolds a sacred story: God is active everywhere.
Oh, my heart exudes thanksgiving, and my mouth gives way to praise,
To my God, who, ever-living, grants me vict’ry all my days.
2. Holy One, God like no other; none beside you can compare.
Friend that’s closer than a brother: Rock of ages, always there.
You, our God the Lord, all-knowing, work to set all things aright.
In the balance -- justice showing, as you rule, our God of might.
3. Earthly fortunes lose their power; tables oft are overturned;
Changes come and go each hour, as reversals are discerned.
All the ways of life, unfolding, show our God is in control.
In his strong arms, ever holding, each one, dear, a precious soul.
4. From on high the Lord will thunder, as the mighty are put down.
Evil will be rent asunder; God’s anointed, wear the crown.
All God’s ways of love shall flourish as the faithful find their place,
Seated where the Lord will nourish all the loved ones, by his grace.
