Daniel J. Weitner
And Other Reflections On Christmas
A certain man went to a builder of boats in order to have a
boat made according to his specifications. He looked about the
shop, observed the fine tools, and cast an observant eye upon
several photographs of vessels which the craftsman had made.
"Sir, you are known as one who does more than merely wield hammer
and saw in a skillful way," said he. "You are recognized as an
artist, and from what I can see, that title is well-deserved."
Pointing to the photographs, he exclaimed admiringly: "Seldom
have I seen such striving for perfection!"
