DATELINE: Jerusalem
Dramatic Dialogue Sermons Lent
Good evening. As you have no doubt already heard, a routine exercise in criminal justice in the Roman province of Judea now has all the world talking. A self-taught rabbi and faith healer, a well-known public speaker in his early thirties who managed to amass no fortune and, in fact, had no permanent address, Jesus of Nazareth was executed by crucifixion, on a charge of attempting to overthrow the Roman Empire. We are privileged to have with us tonight, live via satellite hook-up, the man who brought those charges, Judea's Imperial Governor, Pontius Pilate.
Pilatus.
Pilatus.
