The Advent Wreath is a beautiful symbol of preparation during the season when we ready ourselves - spiritually and in other ways - to celebrate the birth of Christ. Many congregations include the lighting of the wreath during Sunday worship the four weeks of Advent. One meaningful way to do this is to identify groups of persons - a traditional family, a group of friends, or persons representative of congregational groups - and have these people participate in the wreath lighting.
