PRAYER OF CONFESSION
PATIENT GOD, YOU STILL WAIT FOR US TO SORT OUT OUR PRIORITIES. WE ARE OFTEN BUSY WITH TRIVIALITIES, AVOIDING CONFRONTATION OF THE ESSENTIALS. WE ARE BEMUSED WITH THE INCIDENTAL AND NOT ATTENTIVE TO THE ETERNAL. FORGIVE SUCH PREOCCUPATION WITH WHAT DISTRACTS US FROM YOUR PRESENCE AND DOES NOT PREPARE US FOR ULTIMATE COMMUNION WITH YOU AND YOURS. AMEN

Hear the Good News! God has chosen to make known to you the mystery of the glory of Christ. The Spirit within you enriches your life. Friends, believe the Good News! IN JESUS CHRIST, WE ARE FORGIVEN.
EXHORTATION
Strive with all your energy to share the insights you have been given for the sake of the church in this and coming generations.
PRAYER OF THE DAY
CAPTURE OUR ATTENTION, GREAT TEACHER, THAT THE TRUTH YOU TELL AND THE TRUTH THAT YOU ARE, WILL BE OUR ETERNAL TREASURE NEVER TO BE TAKEN FROM US. AMEN
PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
GOD OF SURPRISES, WE ARE THANKFUL FOR THE CASUAL ENCOUNTERS IN WHICH WE FIND YOU PRESENT, THE SHARED MEAL AND THE EXPERIENCE OF HOSPITALITY, THE STORIES BY WHICH WE COME TO KNOW EACH OTHER AND YOU, THE BOOKS AND LETTERS WHICH BRIDGE THE SPAN OF CENTURIES AND THE DISTANCES OF OUR PRESENT WORLD, THE MEDIA WHICH BRINGS US GOOD NEWS AS WELL AS BAD AND SAD. WE CELEBRATE YOUR PRESENCE WHEREVER AND WITH WHOMEVER WE ARE IN THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND ALL SAINTS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. AMEN
PRAYER OF DEDICATION
LET THESE OFFERINGS AND ALL OUR GIFTS FOR STRANGERS BE MADE IN THE AWARENESS THAT YOU ARE HERE AS WELL AS IN THE PLACE OF NEED, THE HOSPITAL, THE PRISON, THE LONELY ROOM, THAT OUR GIVING MAY BE MORE FULLY APPROPRIATE, GIVEN REVERENTLY AND IN LOVE. AMEN

I will thank you because I am marvelously made;
YOUR WORKS ARE WONDERFUL, AND I KNOW IT WELL,
My body was not hidden from you,
WHILE I WAS BEING MADE IN SECRET AND WOVEN IN THE DEPTHS OF THE EARTH.
Your eyes beheld my limbs, yet unfinished in the womb; all of them were written in your book;
THEY WERE FASHIONED DAY BY DAY, WHEN AS YET THERE WAS NONE OF THEM.
How deep I find your thoughts, O God!
HOW GREAT IS THE SUM OF THEM!
If I were to count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
TO COUNT THEM ALL, MY LIFE SPAN WOULD NEED TO BE LIKE YOURS.
